LOCATION
The city of Vidin, at the bank of the Danube, is the municipal capital. Vidin is located in the lowest terrace of the Vidin Lowland, 30 - 35 meters above sea level.
Vidin is located in the northwestern part of the Danubian Plain. Its territory coincides with the Vidin Lowland, between the bend of the Danube at Vidin and the hills to the southwest. The city of Vidin, at the bank of the Danube, is the municipal capital. Vidin is located in the lowest terrace of the Vidin Lowland, 30 - 35 meters above sea level. The location of the city creates preconditions for international tourism development using rich cultural and historical heritage with which Vidin is popular.
