As of 30.06.2017 the total number of registered unemployed in Vidin region is 6 476 people. The unemployment rate in the region is 17.1%. Reported to reduce the unemployment rate by 3.5 percentage points compared to June 2016.
The unemployment rate in individual municipalities is distributed unevenly and is conditional on their respective economic development. Some of the main reasons for retaining its high levels throughout the year are tight primary markets and the prevailing low education and qualification of the population in these areas. With the highest unemployment rate are the municipalities Ruzhintsi - 64.0%; Dimovo - 53.0%; Chuprene - 42.5%; Makresh - 32.7%; Bregovo - 32.1%; Gramada - 29.4%;
